Privacy Policy – Effective March 1, 2017

  1. Website Visitors
  2. Like most website operators, Innovate+Educate (I+E) collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. I+E’ s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how I+E’ s visitors use its website. From time to time, I+E may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

I+E also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users. I+E only discloses logged in user IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Human-readable summary of Sec 1: Our website works like most websites you visit. Please be aware that we collect and analyze information about your visits to better understand the people who use our tools and to help us improve and develop our services.

  3. Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
  4. Certain visitors to I+E’ s websites choose to interact with I+E in ways that require I+E to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that I+E gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. I+E collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with I+E websites and services. I+E does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Human-readable summary of Sec 2: To get the most out of our services, many users will share personally identifying information like email address, location, and other information. We don’ t ask for more information than we need, and we are very careful with your information.

  5. Sharing of Personally-Identifying Information
  6. Workers or other “job seeker” visitors to I+E’ s websites may choose to share their information with current or prospective employers, career counselors, advisors, your school, and/or others. Most often, individuals will use the I+E website technologies to share information—this may include via email, download, or other means. How your information is shared and with whom is based on both the choices you make when signing up and the profile preferences you control later. For example, we may send or make accessible score reports to your current employer or other employer(s) you choose. You have full control over who is able to see your score report(s) and other identifying information. You may update your sharing preferences at any time.

Human-readable summary of Sec 3: To help you gain employment, obtain a promotion, find training, or leverage other services, we may share your information only with your permission.

  7. Aggregated Statistics
  8. I+E may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. I+E may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, I+E does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Human-readable summary of Sec 4: We create and share information about how people use our services, but there is no way you could be personally identified as visiting or using our services.

  9. Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
  10. I+E discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on I+E’ s behalf or to provide services available at I+E websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using I+E’ s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. I+E will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, I+E discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when I+E believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of I+E, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of an I+E website and have supplied your email address, I+E may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’ s going on with I+E and our products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. I+E takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Human-readable summary of Sec 5: We will not sell or otherwise make money off your personal information. We will share this information with the employees and partners who support and help create high quality tools and services.

  11. Cookies
  12. A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. I+E uses cookies to help I+E identify and track visitors, their usage of I+E website, and their website access preferences.

I+E visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using I+E’ s websites, with the drawback that certain features of I+E’ s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Human-readable summary of Sec 6: We use cookies to help provide better access to our services. You can choose to not allow cookies on your own machine if you prefer.

  13. Business Transfers
  14. If I+E, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that I+E goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of I+E may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Human-readable summary of Sec 7: Your information may be transferred to a third party in the unlikely event that I+E are sold or transfer ownership. If there is a transfer, all portions of this policy remain in effect and are not affected.

  15. Changes to the Privacy Policy
  16. From time to time, I+E may change, remove, or add to the Privacy Policy, and reserves the right to do so in its discretion. In that case, we will post an updated Privacy Policy and indicate the date of revision. If we feel the modifications are material, we will make reasonable efforts to post a prominent notice on the relevant Website(s) and notify those of you with a current account via email. All new and/or revised Privacy Policy changes take effect immediately and apply to your use of the Services from that date on, except that material changes will take effect 30 days after the change is made and identified as material. Your continued use of any Services after new and/or revised Privacy Policy is effective indicates that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Privacy Policy.

Human-readable summary of Sec 8: This Privacy Policy may change. When the changes are important, we will put a notice on the website. If you continue to use the sites after the changes are made, you agree to the changes.
